Acupuncture, TCM, Wellness
I recently obtained my Master's degree in Acupuncture from Texas Health and Science University in December 2022. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Physiology and Holistic Health from TESC in 2018. My current goal is to pass my board exams and become a licensed acupuncturist. My focus in acupuncture is on mental health, reproductive health, and queer/trans health. Join me on my journey towards achieving balance in our bodies.
My primary goal is to heal, not hurt.
Mad is short for my name Mads. Pokes in a gently poke way with acupuncture needles (some as small as human hair). To learn more about acupuncture and my approach, please check out my blog.
Achieving balance and wellness in both mind and body is essential for living your best life. That's why I take a holistic approach to healing, taking into account the whole person and not just treating symptoms. I am dedicated to your overall well-being and will provide you with the guidance, knowledge, and tools necessary for optimal health. Let me help you achieve the balance and wellness you deserve.
Our bodies have the ability to heal themselves naturally through the use of meridians and energy pathways, which can be accessed through the use of acupuncture needles (over 400 points on the body). This practice has been used for over 3,000 years and the needles used are tiny and cause minimal discomfort. To learn more about this method, sign up for my email or visit my blog.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a holistic approach to healthcare that utilizes various therapies such as herbal formulas, acupuncture, cupping, acupressure, tui na, gua sha, diet and exercise like qi gong to improve health and well-being.
Cupping, a therapy used in TCM, helps to release tension, improve circulation, and break up knots. It works by using suction (created by heat or an air pump) to bring fresh blood to the area and remove stagnant blood. This therapy also clears congestion and stagnation, removes toxins, drains lymph nodes, and manipulates fascia. It is also a diagnostic tool, for more information please check out our blog or Instagram page.
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), good health is achieved when the body is in balance. This balance not only refers to the flow of qi (energy) in the body but also encompasses lifestyle choices. I am available to assist in identifying foods that can aid the body in healing, balancing, and preventing future diseases from the perspective of TCM.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, everything is interconnected and the goal is to prevent and eliminate symptoms by looking at the whole picture of the individual, taking into account their mind, body, emotions, spirit, consumption habits, and overall lifestyle. I encourage individuals to consider the holistic approach to their health.
